Norman Fraser has practiced law since 1984, and during this time he has practiced exclusively in the area of Civil Litigation involving serious personal injury and bodily injury, sexual assault, insurance, contract, construction, real estate, employment, and litigation pertaining to wills and estates, and government litigation.
Norman Fraser was born in Burnaby, B.C, in 1957 and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Simon Fraser University in 1980 before obtaining his Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1983 from the University of British Columbia.
He has extensive trial and litigation experience in Civil Litigation with areas of emphasis in major personal injury, estate and trust litigation, including disputes involving wills and administration of estates, insurance claims and defence, construction, contract and commercial disputes. He also has experience in Constitutional Law involving aboriginal rights and the Douglas Treaties, Native Law and Section 35 of the Constitution Act.
He has acted on behalf of numerous private individuals, as well as the Federal and Provincial Attorneys General, as well as corporate and insurance clients.
He has been a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia since 1990. He was president of the Nanaimo County Bar Association in 1989/1990. He is married and has two adult children.
